Terra watched the sky

for the first hint of sunset,

holding the lyre close.

The woman tried to calm her

down by asking, "Who named you?"

"My mom," she answered.

"What a grounded name you have,

Where do you come from?"

"Wildfire destroyed my homeland,"

Terra frowned, "near the Black Sea."

She faced the woman,

"What is your name, fox lady?"

The woman replied,

"I am Daphne of Thessaly."

The sunset filled Daphne’s house.
