Castor took a breath—

bright blue light hummed around him

as he called the wind.

When the air did not respond

Castor asked, "Am I glowing?"

Polly and Chiron

found the crew in the garden,

tracing the blue light

of Saint Elmo to Castor.

She asked, "Why are you glowing?"

Polly called the wind—

a breeze brushed the garden leaves.

Castor tried again.

Chiron watched Saint Elmo's fire

buzz from plant to plant like bees.
