In the night's quiet,

all but one sister slumbered.

Andromeda said,

"I'm surprised you're still awake."

The sister said, "I don't sleep."

Andromeda laughed,

but the sister told the truth.

The princess asked, "Why?"

"Enemies lurk in the dark,"

the sister said, "I stop them."

As the woman spoke,

she pulled a blade from her cloak

and charged the princess.

Andromeda used her lyre

to block the imminent strike.
